Lake Plan Officially Approved

Protecting our watershed today to ensure a vibrant Muskoka legacy for tomorrow.

Brandy Lake received an early Christmas present this week when the Township of Muskoka Lakes (TML) Council unanimously approved the inclusion of our Lake Plan into Draft 5 of the TML Official Plan, which is currently under a full review.  The development and approval of the Lake Plan, and its subsequent recognition by TML Council has been a big initiative of the Brandy Lake Association through its strategic plan. The completion of the lake plan by the BLA and its inclusion in the official plan by TML Council recognizes the unique features of Brandy Lake and the important role that members of the BLA play in maintaining lake health for future generations.

The Lake Plan will be posted to the Brandy Lake Association website shortly for future reference. Thanks to everyone on the lake who contributed their knowledge of the lake, photographs, and comments on the drafts as we finalized the plan.
